Rev. Fr. Stephen Asare

Stephen is responsible for leading and strengthening the presence and impact of Asaasiam Vision through partner relations and resource mobilization.  Fr. Stephen is currently the Catholic Parish Priest in charge of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church at Akim Oda, Ghana.

 

 

 

Donald Didier

Don is the Board Chair of Asaasiam Vision International (AVI).IMG-20210118-WA0014.jpg  He is from Portland, Oregon, USA. Don is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 36 years of working experience as a therapist for youth and families. and individuals with Drug and Alcohol issues, those involved in abuse and trauma, and youth who have committed sex offenses. He was also the Director of the Youth Progress Association for 27 years in Portland, a residential treatment program for boys and girls involved in Juvenile Justice or who have special needs. Above all, Don provides strategic advice and resources to support the work of AVI.

 

 

 

Alodie Didier

img4-min.jpgAlodie is a special advisor on the AVI Board. She is from Portland, Oregon, USA. Alodie is a retired professional teacher with over 30 years of experience in teaching, school curriculum development, and classroom settings that enhance teachers' and students' academic work. Alodie also provides strategic advice and mobilizes resources to help execute our projects and programs.

 

 

 

Mike Eichenberger

Mike.jpgMike is the Resources Mobilizing Chair on the AVI Board. He is from Holland, Michigan. Mike has over 20 years of accumulated experience in social work. As the resources mobilizing director, he leads and strengthens the presence and impact of Asaasiam Vision through partnership relations and resource mobilization. He is also very passionate about youth and women's support and development as well as community development. He believes in sustainable life-transforming support. He is leading Asaasiam's life-transforming projects and programs. Mike plays a key and strategic role in all our projects and programs development and implementation

 

Kandice Louis

Kandice.jpgKandice is the Publicity Chair on the AVI Board. She is equipped with a career in managing programs that deliver life-changing services for individuals who have faced trauma-related issues including domestic violence, sexual assault, commercial sexual exploitation, and interfamilial violence. Analytical professional adept at compiling program data and using such data to develop and implement policies and procedures proven to increase the effectiveness, scope, and reach of community programs. Kandice plays a crucial role in ensuring our projects make the greatest impact in the lives of those we serve. 

 

Sharon Brabenac 

Sharon.jpg Sharon is a passionate and effective advocate for causes that fundamentally change people’s lives. She is from Portland Oregon. Sharon has expertise in utilizing a consultative approach to access key decision-makers, network effectively, and create synergistic relationships. Sharon is an adjunct faculty member of Portland State University. 
 

 

Theresa Frempomaa Somuah

Theresa.png Theresa is the finance secretary on the AVI Board, and leads all AVI's women and girls empowerment programs. She is a strategy and policy enthusiast and passionate about driving impactful global, economic, and  social programs. She believes in supporting young women to develop their full potential and goals. She does this through the development and leading of women and youth economic empowerment projects.  

 

 

Tom Mitchell

Tom.jpg Tom is the Deputy Resource Mobilizing Chair and Fundraising Committee Member of the AVI Board. Before joining AVI, he was the Executive Director of The Inn, providing housing for women with children, homeless youth, and youth involved with the child welfare system, and supported the educational and vocational activities for all programs.  He supports AVI in developing and implement growth plans to meet community needs and developed resource-raising strategies. 

 

Theophilus Aboagye

He is a professional teacher and the director of cultural education at the Kwaebibrim District Office of the Ghana Education Service.  Theophilus provides field support to ensure our projects and programs succeed. He has a thorough understanding of the Ghanaian culture which he uses to help us break through all traditions and customs that could have hindered our work.

 

Joseph Asare

Joseph (2).jpgJoseph is the founder of AVI. He is from Ghana, West Africa. He is very passionate about impoverished youth and youth with disabilities education and vulnerable women's economic empowerment. Joseph also works to ensure a sustainable environment and community development. His hard work has earned him several awards including a CERTIFICATE OF CONGRATULATION from the US Department of State for demonstrating outstanding leadership on women and gender issues. And an ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD from the University of Economics and Law KROK.
