Fr. Stephen is the executive director of Asaasiam Vision International. Fr Stephen is responsible for leading and strengthening the presence and impact of Asaasiam Vision through partner relations and resource mobilization. Prior to joining Asaasiam Vision Int. as Executive Director, Fr Stephen is currently a Catholic Parish Priest in charge of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church at Akim Oda, Ghana.
Don is an active Partner and a Director of Asaasiam Vision International (AVI). He is from Portland, Oregon, USA. Don is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 36 years of working experience as a therapist for youth, families. and individuals with Drug and Alcohol issues, those involved in abuse and trauma, and youth who have committed sex offenses. He was also the Director of Youth Progress Association for 27 years in Portland, a residential treatment program for boys and girls involved in Juvenile Justice or who have special needs. He is also a member of the National Ethics Committee of the National Association of Social Workers in the USA and a founding member of the State of Oregon Sex Offender Treatment Board. Don also founded an Alternative School for disadvantaged youth early in his career. Above all, Don provides strategic advice and resources to support the work of AVI.
Alodie is a special adviser and a director of Asaasiam Vision International. She is from Portland, Oregon, USA. Alodie is a retired professional teacher with over 30 years of experience in teaching, school curriculum development, and classroom setting that enhance teachers' and students' academic work. Alodie also provides strategic advice and mobilizes resources to help execute our projects and programs.
Mike is the Funds and Resources Mobilizing director of Asaasiam Vision International. He is from Washington DC. Mike has over 20 years of accumulated experience in social work. As the resources mobilizing director, he leads and strengthens the presence and impact of Asaasiam Vision through partnership relations and resource mobilization. He is also very passionate about youth and women's support and development as well as community development. He believes in sustainable-life-transforming support. He is leading Asaasiam's life-transforming projects and programs. Mike plays a key role and a strategic role in all our projects and programs development and implementation
Kandice is the publicity director of Asaasiam Vision International. She is equipped with a career in managing programs that deliver life-changing services for individuals who have faced trauma-related issues including domestic violence, sexual assault, commercial sexual exploitation, and interfamilial violence. Analytical professional adept at compiling program data and using such data to develop and implement policies and procedures proven to increase the effectiveness, scope, and reach of community programs. Kandice plays a crucial role in ensuring our projects make the greatest impact in the lives of those we serve.
Theophilus is a professional teacher and the director of cultural education at the Kwaebibrim District Office of the Ghana Education Service. He is also the board secretary. Theophilus provides field support to ensure our projects and programs succeed. He has a thorough understanding of the Ghanaian cultures which he uses to help us break through all traditions and customs that could have hindered our work.
Joseph is very passionate about impoverished and disabled children and youth education and vulnerable women empowerment. He believes in children and youth empowerment through education and vocational training, and the economic empowerment of vulnerable women. Joseph also works to ensure a sustainable environment and community development. As the founder, Joseph brings on board immeasurable multi-sectoral knowledge and perspectives to Asaasiam. He also helps to coordinate all projects and programs of Asaasiam. He works collaboratively with community leaders, our partners, and donors to address children, youth, and women's challenges. His hard work has earned him several awards including a CERTIFICATE OF CONGRATULATION from the US Department of State for demonstrating outstanding leadership on women and gender issues. And an ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD from the University of Economics and Law 'KROK'.
